MIRA is a wall light built from two geometric figures: a black vertical bar 34 cm tall and a white disc 30 cm across, which the bar passes through. The LEDs sit in the bar; the disc is the screen that bounces that light back and turns it into a soft glow on the wall. Why 200 lumens is not a mistake here From 14 W the fitting delivers 200 lm – a figure that would be a fault in a downlight, but here follows from the design intent. MIRA does not light the room, it lights the wall: the output hits the disc, reflects, and comes back diffused. You lose efficiency and gain the fact that there is not one bright point anywhere in your field of view. This is a fitting for mood and for emphasising a wall, not for lighting a room – a reading chair will still want a second lamp. It is protection class I, meaning it requires an earth conductor – worth checking before buying if the wiring is older two-core.
