STACK is a pendant built from three chromed bars crossed at different angles – like a handful of matchsticks dropped on a table. Six E14 lampholders sit at the ends of the bars, and the whole thing hangs from three thin wires under a round ceiling rose. The span is 80 cm, so the fitting acts as a room's focal point rather than an accessory. Magnets instead of fiddly screws The individual arms join with magnets. That is unusual in this class of fitting and a genuine convenience: the arrangement of bars is assembled in place without driving small screws overhead, and the angle between arms can be corrected after hanging, judging the effect from below. Light sources Six E14 lampholders take bulbs of up to 40 W or their LED equivalents – bulbs are not included. The structure hides nothing, so the lamps are fully on show: decorative opal globes or filaments look best here, chosen in one type and from one batch so that all six points share a colour. Suspension and installation 1.5 m of black PVC cable is supplied; the fitting hangs on a ceiling hook and the surplus wire is shortened to the height needed. At 80 cm across and 2.4 kg net it is worth fixing into the structural ceiling. IP20 places it in dry interiors. Where it works The sprawling, open form does not build a wall of light; it scatters six points across a wide area – hence its natural place above a large dining table, in a living room with a high ceiling, or over a kitchen island.
