MAYA is a floor lamp 150 cm tall: a slim black stem on a round base, carrying a cylindrical shade of woven cotton 45 cm across. Lucide calls the shade colour cream — the fabric has a visible, irregular weave and the inside of the shade is white. How much room it takes and how tall it stands The base is 30 cm across and half a centimetre thick, so the foot itself occupies little floor. The shade is wider at 45 cm, and that is the figure that sets the clearance needed from the furniture beside it. The whole lamp weighs 4.05 kg. The 150 cm height is fixed: Lucide gives the same value as both minimum and maximum, so the stem cannot be shortened or extended. Compare that figure with the height of the back of whatever the lamp is to stand next to. What light it gives and what you buy separately The lamp has one E27 lampholder and takes a bulb of up to 40 W — an upper limit for the lamp, not the fitting's own consumption. No bulb is supplied, so colour and brightness are yours to pick; Lucide recommends its own G95 decorative lamp, article 49032/05/62, which glows amber at 2200 K. Light passes through the fabric and spreads all round — the manufacturer describes the distribution as diffuse and not directional, so MAYA lights the space around it rather than any one spot. Brightness is fixed: Lucide states the fitting is not dimmable, and an ordinary switch sits on the cord, within reach. Build and the interior it suits Stem and base are metal, spray painted black; the shade is cotton with a visible weave and a white lining that brightens the fitting from inside. The fixings needed to assemble the lamp are in the box. Lucide files MAYA under the Japandi style — pale natural fabric set against thin black metal, with no ornament. The fitting is protection class II, so it needs no earth, and IP20, which makes it strictly an indoor lamp.
