L 271 digi C is a STEINEL outdoor light with an illuminated house number, in a flat linear form and an anthracite housing. A house number you can actually read This is not an ordinary wall light — it is built to display the street number and includes a sheet of self-adhesive numerals. An illuminated number after dark is something you appreciate only when a courier, a taxi or — in the worse case — an ambulance is looking for the door. The flat linear form, 23.5 cm tall with a projection of just 6.5 cm, takes no space beside the door and stays discreet by day. The "C" version — deliberately without a sensor The L 270 / L 271 digi family comes in two executions: SC (with a 180° motion detector) and C, which is this model — without a sensor. That is a choice, not an omission. A detector-less fitting is the right one where the light should come on together with another luminaire, on a schedule or from an ordinary switch — and where a sensor would keep reacting to street traffic or a neighbour's gate. Bluetooth Mesh and the STEINEL Connect app The luminaire is configured wirelessly from a phone. The app provides three real functions: Main light dimmable 5–100% — brightness control without a dimmer in the installation. Basic light 5–100% — dimmed continuous illumination at night that jumps to full output when motion is detected. An important manufacturer's caveat: this function works only in combination with another Bluetooth sensor luminaire — the L 271 digi C has no detector and cannot trigger it on its own. Schedule function — permanent switching on and off at a chosen time, per day of the week. Bluetooth Mesh lets you network any number of other STEINEL luminaires into groups and control them together. No gateway, router or cloud is required — the luminaires talk to each other directly. Light parameters The LED module draws 6.6 W and delivers 566 lm measured over the full 360°, giving 85 lm/W for the complete luminaire. Colour temperature 3000 K (warm white) with CRI 82. The manufacturer does offer a replacement LED panel for the L 270 / L 625 / L 665 series as a service part, but the fitting itself is not conceived as a device with an exchangeable lamp. IK03 is low impact resistance — this model is meant for the façade of a house, not for stairwells or public spaces.
