FARO GOLD is a pendant with an open cage shade: a gold structure in metal wire, formed as a multi-faceted diamond 29 cm across, hung on a cable beneath a gold canopy. The whole fitting occupies 120 cm of height. A shade that hides nothing This is the property everything else follows from. The cage has no glass and no fabric – the lamp is fully visible, and it is the lamp, not the fitting, that lights the room directly. Two consequences follow, both worth knowing before you buy. First, choosing the bulb stops being a technical decision and becomes a design one. In this fitting you see exactly what you screw in: a decorative filament lamp in a globe or ST64 envelope looks the way the fitting was designed to look; an ordinary frosted LED "globe" will work but wastes the idea. Second, the wire cage throws the pattern of its own struts across walls and ceiling – the characteristic effect of this kind of light, an asset in a living room or over a table, but something to plan for, because the light cannot be hidden. Total weight is only 0.8 kg – the cage is thin wire, so the fitting puts no load on the ceiling and needs no special anchoring. Lamp and supply The holder is E27 rated to 60 W, and no lamp is supplied. Sixty watts is a limit from the incandescent era – a modern 8–10 W E27 LED gives 800–1000 lumens, so the headroom is generous. Since the source stays fully visible, a warm 2200–2700 K is worth choosing: cool light in an exposed bulb glares and undoes the effect of the gold cage. Supply 230 V, protection IP20 – dry interiors only. Where to hang it At 29 cm across and 120 cm of total drop, FARO suits a table, a kitchen island or a row above a bar – anywhere it hangs low enough that the exposed lamp is not at the eye level of someone standing.
