The GFA442 is a recessed spotlight in aluminium with a sand-textured satin black finish. Its conical head hangs below the ceiling and turns on two axes, closed at the bottom by a clear diffuser. It is held in place by two spring clips. A 62 mm cut-out and the room above the ceiling The ceiling needs a 62 mm hole, covered by a 70 mm trim ring. Above the ceiling plane the fitting takes 21 mm for its housing and terminal block, while the 60 mm head itself drops 57 mm below the ceiling — so this is not a flush fitting but one that stands proud of the surface. The manufacturer specifies indoor installation only. An IP21 rating covers vertically falling drips but not splashing water. Aiming the light: 45° and 355° The head tilts 45° from vertical and rotates 355° on its axis, and the beam is 36° wide. Together that lets you put a narrow cone onto one object — a picture on the wall, a shelf, a section of worktop — and correct the aim after the fitting is installed, without taking it back out of the ceiling. How much light it gives and in what colour The LED module draws 9 W and delivers 680 lm at 3000 K, a warm white with a slight yellow cast. Colour rendering is above Ra 90, which shows wherever colours have to be right: on a picture, on displayed goods, or over a work surface. Because the beam is narrow, 680 lm from one fitting lights a chosen area rather than a whole room. Integrated LED, driver included The LED module and the transformer are both supplied, so no bulb or separate driver has to be bought. The source cannot be replaced — the manufacturer rates it at 50,000 hours, after which the whole fitting is changed. The luminaire is declared protection class III, so the module runs on safety extra-low voltage from the supplied driver, and the driver itself connects to a 220–240 V supply.
