Zambelis 23295 is a linear LED tube 63.5 cm long and 3 cm in diameter, made for this manufacturer's 48 V magnetic track system. The body is aluminium in matt black and the light leaves through an acrylic diffuser running the full length of the tube. Magnetic contacts sit at both ends, and the fitting clips onto the track through them. What you need for it to light up This is a system component rather than a standalone luminaire: the tube has no driver of its own and no ceiling fixing. It lights only once it is clipped into a 48 V magnetic track fed by a 48 V power supply. Track and driver are bought separately, and the tracks in this system measure 63.5, 123.5 and 183.5 cm — the shortest matches the length of this tube exactly. Running on 48 V puts the fitting in safety class III, a separated extra-low-voltage circuit: the luminaire itself needs no earth connection because the driver separates it from the mains. The magnetic contacts let you slide the tube along the track or lift it off without tools when the lighting layout changes. How much light it gives and of what kind Drawing 12 W, the fitting puts out 966 lm at 3000 K, a warm white — noticeably more than an old 60 W bulb, which gave around 800 lm. The 115° beam spreads the light broadly along the whole tube instead of dropping a single pool underneath it, so this is general room lighting rather than an accent on one object. Ra 90 means colours are rendered faithfully, which matters wherever shades have to be right — above a shop display or at a hotel reception desk. The LED is built in permanently and cannot be replaced; the manufacturer quotes a lifetime of L70B50 36,000 h, after which output falls to 70% of the initial value. Control and operating conditions Brightness is set over the DALI protocol, so the installation needs a DALI controller — an ordinary wall dimmer will not dim this tube. The aluminium and acrylic build is intended for indoor use only. The 63.5 cm version weighs 0.7 kg including packaging.
