Trevo Table 1104B is an Aldex desk lamp made of three plain solids: a round base 15 cm across, a vertical rod and a cylindrical head 12.5 cm long, clamped to the rod at half height. All of it is metal finished in matt white, including the cord that leaves the base. How much desk it takes up The base occupies a disc 15 cm across, and the lamp stands 54 cm high and 23 cm deep — compare that depth with your own desktop, because the head reaches out past the base. At 1.2 kg it stands steadily and still moves with one hand. The manufacturer intends it for lighting a desk, a chest of drawers, a console or a table at one spot — wherever the light has to be aimed at a particular place rather than spread around the room. Which lamp to buy No lamp is included. The manufacturer specifies a single GU10 socket in the mini format, and the shade is only 3.7 cm across — an ordinary PAR16 GU10 lamp is 5 cm and will not go into this head. So the reflector diameter is what matters at purchase, not just the cap. Because the lamp is chosen separately, the buyer sets the light colour: 3000 K gives a warm tone for reading in the evening, 4000 K a neutral one for working through papers. The fitting runs on ordinary 230 V with no separate driver. Aiming the light The head tilts, so the angle is set by hand. A narrow cylinder just under 4 cm across gathers the light into one beam instead of spilling it sideways — this is task light for a work surface, not general room lighting. The head's opening is flush with the rim of the cylinder and the lamp sits inside it, so the source itself is not visible from the side. Build and collection The whole lamp is metal, in one matt white tone with no gloss and no visible joins. The Trevo collection bases its proportions on the golden ratio and borrows shapes from technical lighting — hence the cylinder head and the thin rod instead of a shade. Besides matt white, Aldex makes Trevo Table in matt black, in brushed brass with gloss white or black, and in a dusty blue from a limited run.
