UGR ≤ 10 — a fitting you cannot look into uncomfortably The most important figure on this luminaire is neither its wattage nor its output. It is UGR ≤ 10. The Unified Glare Rating describes how strongly a fitting dazzles an observer in the room; the office standard asks for UGR ≤ 19, and anything under 16 already counts as comfortable. Ten is the practical floor — the diode sits so deep in the profile that at a normal viewing angle you cannot see it at all. The manufacturer confirms this formally: the fitting carries the BAP designation, meaning it is approved for screen workplaces. That is not marketing garnish but a qualification — BAP luminaires do not reflect in a display and do not create bright patches in the field of view of somebody working at a desk. Why 46 lm/W is a good result here Q-LINE CL draws 46 W and delivers 2100 lm, which works out at about 46 lm/W. On paper that looks modest next to ordinary ceiling fittings reaching 120 lm/W — and this is the difference worth understanding before buying. This fitting deliberately gives up some light in exchange for comfort. The deep shielding optic that produces UGR ≤ 10 and the narrow 30° half beam angle holds back the flux leaving at unfavourable angles — precisely the flux that in a cheaper fitting would land in your eyes and on your monitor. The result is lower efficacy and markedly better light quality where the work happens. Completing the picture is CRI 90. At that level of colour rendering, the colours of materials, print and skin are reproduced faithfully — the standard expected in consulting rooms, design studios and retail, well above the usual CRI 80. A metre of profile, surface-mounted The fitting measures 100 cm with a 6 × 6 cm section — the square profile that gives the series its name. Mounting is on the surface, straight onto the ceiling, so no suspended construction and no installation void are required. It weighs 2.276 kg.
