CATACAOS is a slender bollard light 90 cm tall and only 8 cm across, made of aluminium in matt black. The proportions matter here: at that thickness the bollard reads as a line in a garden rather than a mass — you set them every few metres along a path, where they mark the edge without dominating the planting. 9 W and 378 lm — for a path, not a driveway The integrated LED draws 9 W and gives 378 lm of warm white at 3000 K. That is the output of orientation lighting: it shows where the path ends and the lawn begins, lights a step by the terrace, but will not brighten a whole driveway. 3000 K is a deliberate choice here — against greenery and timber warm white looks natural, and in the evening it glares less than a neutral or cold tone. The lamp is included The manufacturer supplies the bollard with an integrated LED — no lampholder, no bulb to choose and no risk of the fitting staying dark once installed. The trade-off is that the source cannot be replaced when it reaches its end. The fitting is not designed for dimming and should not be wired to a dimmer. IP65 — for places with no shelter An IP65 rating means fully dust-tight and protected against water jets. At that level the bollard can stand completely in the open: beside a path, in a lawn, within the spray of an irrigation system, or in rain driven from any direction. The matt black aluminium body reflects no daylight and stays discreet during the day too. Installation The bollard weighs 5 kg — a lot for something this slim, and a good sign: the weight means a solid casting wall rather than a thin tube. Installation needs a 230 V connection and a stable base; for a run of several, set the spacing out in advance, because at 378 lm per point the evenness depends more on the gap between bollards than on the wattage.
