Housing: polypropylene (non-pigmented), filter area 4.6 qcm, maximum pressure 75 psi, inlet: inner luer lock, outlet: external luer, autoclavable at 121 ° C /15 psi (applies only to non-sterile filters) The GD/X line is specially designed for samples with high particle content. The housing made of pigment-free polypropylene eliminates sample contamination in these filters. Whatman GMF 150 pre-filter layers (staggered media density) and GF/F glass microfiber media also allow for the filtration of difficult samples with less effort. With GD/X syringe filters, three to seven times the sample volume can be processed compared to unprotected membranes.GMF150 (staggered media density) and GF/F are made from 100% borosilicate glass microfibre. The unique, staggered media density of the GMF150 has a coarse top layer which is cross-linked with a finer layer, whereby particles of up to 1 μm are retained.
