Grade 50 Quantitative Filter Paper Hardened Low Ash, sheet, white smear tab Grade 50 sheets, white smear tab, hardened low ash. Hardened low ash: 0.015% ash maximum. These filters are treated with a strong acid to remove trace metals and produce high wet strength and chemical resistance. The maximum ash content of these grades is intermediate between ashless and qualitative grades.
