V-TAC VT-743 LED Outdoor Wall Light 8W 4000K IP65 White Round ø18 cm

Name: V-TAC VT-743 LED Outdoor Wall Light 8W 4000K IP65 White Round ø18 cm
Brand: V-TAC

The V-TAC VT-743 is a round outdoor wall light 18 cm across, with a body of white-painted aluminium. The disc itself is opaque and the light leaves through a slot running around its edge, so a bright halo forms on the wall and nothing shines into your eyes. The light source is built in permanently. Size and how it mounts The disc is 18 cm in diameter and stands 4 cm off the wall - a figure to compare with the space left beside a door, beside a window or between courses of render. It weighs 0.9 kg and is held by three screws into wall plugs; the screws, plugs, three mounting brackets and an Allen key are in the box. The back carries a cable gland rather than a lampholder: the fitting wires permanently into a 220-240 V, 50/60 Hz supply through a three-core cable with a protective earth. Mounting therefore needs a cable run to the spot beforehand, not a socket. How much light it gives The built-in LED module draws 8 W and delivers 1280 lm - bright enough for a single wall light to light an entrance rather than merely mark it. 4000 K is neutral white, without the yellowish cast of a filament lamp. The manufacturer declares a colour rendering index of Ra 80 with an R9 value of 0, so reds and pinks read muted in this light; on render or a driveway that does not matter, but it does when the light falls on planting or a brick wall. The fitting cannot be dimmed. Rated life is 20,000 hours, about 18 years at three hours a day, together with 15,000 switching cycles; after that the whole luminaire is replaced, because the LEDs cannot be taken out of it. Where it can go IP65 means fully dust-tight and resistant to water jets, so the fitting can hang on a wall exposed to rain with nothing sheltering it. The operating range of -20 °C to +45 °C covers a central European winter. The manufacturer intends it for lighting walls and facades - on houses as much as on hotels and restaurants. The same fitting is made in a 13.5 cm version and in 3000 K, so several can be combined on one wall.Pokaż więcej
