RODAN 3079 is a small wall light with a wedge-shaped body: the black lacquered steel housing with a textured finish slopes away from the wall, and its underside is closed by a white glass panel. The fitting measures 200 mm wide and 70 mm high. How big it is and how it lights On the wall it takes up a band 20 cm wide and 7 cm high, and the manufacturer gives a depth of 90 mm — that is how far the fitting stands off the wall. It weighs 0,8 kg net, less than a litre of water. The upper face of the housing is solid and opaque, so light leaves only downwards through the white glass. The beam falls on the wall below the fitting and on whatever stands underneath — this is local lighting beside a bed, a sofa or in a hallway, not the light source for a whole room. What light source it takes The fitting has one E27 socket running on 230 V. No bulb is included, and the manufacturer caps its power at 15 W — that limit must not be exceeded, because a stronger source heats the fitting beyond its intended range. Colour and brightness are therefore yours to choose: for bedrooms and living rooms 2700–3000 K is the usual pick, warm light with a slightly yellow cast. The fitting has no driver and no control electronics of its own, so dimming depends on the bulb and on the dimmer in the installation. Build and the RODAN family The shape is plain and geometric, with no ornament: two flat steel trapezoids and a glass plate between them. The black has a textured finish, so the surface is matte and gives no point reflections. The fitting suits a living room, bedroom, dining room and hallway, and is also used in hotels and restaurants. RODAN 3079 is the small version.
