The VT-4031 from V-TAC's E-Series is a flat, rectangular LED floodlight in a white housing measuring 15.3 × 13.2 cm and 2.7 cm deep. It weighs 0.31 kg. A U-shaped bracket is bolted to the back, with one screw on each side; those set the tilt once the fitting is fixed to a wall or a post. How much light it gives, and in what colour The floodlight draws 30 W and delivers 2510 lm, roughly what three old 60 W bulbs used to give. The colour temperature is 6500 K — a cold white with a distinctly bluish cast — spread over a 100° beam, so it washes a wide strip of ground in front of it rather than a point in the distance. The connection is registered as an L/N/G cable, meaning it carries an earth conductor and needs an earthed installation. There is no motion sensor inside, but the fitting works with an external one if the light is to switch itself on. Build The body is an aluminium alloy, which carries heat away from the diodes and does not corrode outdoors. The glass is seated in a silicone rubber gasket, which keeps the housing tight.
