VT-20-S-B is an LED floodlight in a flat white die-cast aluminium housing, with a motion sensor on a short arm below the glass. A ribbed heatsink runs across the back, and the unit hangs in a U-bracket clamped by two side bolts that set the tilt. A ready-made supply lead comes out of the housing. How the motion sensor works The sensor is an infrared type, so it responds to the heat of a moving body. The manufacturer states a 120° detection field and a range of 2 to 8 m, and specifies mounting between 1.8 and 2.5 m — the height range those two figures were established for. The on-time after a detection is adjustable from roughly 12 seconds to roughly 6 minutes, and the sensor head carries three adjustment dials. Switching the supply off and straight back on puts the floodlight into continuous operation, bypassing the sensor, which the fitting confirms with a brief flash — so the light can be left on without taking the fitting down or re-setting the sensor. How much light it gives, and what kind The LED module draws 20 W and produces 1600 lm at 6400 K — cold, distinctly bluish white, high in contrast and good at picking out shapes, though cool in feel. The beam opens to 100°, so it covers a wide slice of ground in front of it rather than a narrow spot. The colour rendering index is 80+. The light source is permanently built in: there is no socket and no bulb to buy, and when the diodes reach the end of their life the whole fitting is replaced. The manufacturer states 30,000 operating hours and over 15,000 switching cycles. The fitting cannot be dimmed. The energy efficiency class is F, at 80 lm/W. Supply, mounting and durability It runs on 230 V within a 220–240 V range at 50 Hz, and the driver sits inside the housing, so no separate unit is needed. The one-metre lead connects to the installation. The floodlight weighs 0.595 kg and hangs in a bracket with slotted holes for the fixing screws. IP65 means a dust-tight housing protected against water jets, and the glass is sealed with silicone rubber — so the fitting can work on an exposed wall with no cover over it.
