Reverie is a wall light with a semicircular shade of hammered stainless steel set in a champagne gold frame. Below the shade hangs a double row of overlapping, textured crystal tiles. The fitting is 30.5 cm wide and 35.6 cm high. How much wall it takes The fitting projects 11.4 cm from the wall — a figure worth comparing with the width of the passage beside it if the light is going in a hallway or next to a bed. On the wall it occupies a rectangle of 30.5 x 35.6 cm. It weighs 2 kg, and the manufacturer rates it Class I: the connection needs an earth conductor. It is intended for interior locations only. Bulbs and dimming The fitting takes two E14 candle bulbs of up to 40 W each. The manufacturer states plainly that no bulbs are included and that LED equivalents can go in their place — colour temperature and brightness are therefore your choice. It can be dimmed, but that needs a dimmer switch, which is not supplied, and lamps described as dimmable. The fitting itself carries no control gear. Shade and crystal The upper part of the shade is hammered stainless steel — the surface is irregular and breaks up reflections. The frame is finished in champagne gold, and the semicircular form lets the fitting sit against the wall along its whole back edge. The tiles below are crystal, milky and roughly textured; they are translucent, so light from inside the fitting passes through them instead of falling straight down only.
