The SLV KADUX 3 is a triple recessed fitting in a rectangular, matt black frame measuring 21 × 9 cm. Three rings holding GU10 lamp holders sit side by side in one opening, and each one tilts on its own. The housing is aluminium, black on the inside as well. How much room the ceiling needs The cut-out is 20 × 8 cm and the fitting reaches 13 cm into the ceiling — that is the first figure to measure, because that much clear space has to remain above the board. A suspended ceiling dropped by less than 13 cm will not take this fitting. Only the 3 mm frame stays visible. Clip springs supplied with the fitting hold it in the cut-out, and the connection box sits on top of the housing. It arrives ready for direct connection to 230 V mains (220–240 V ~50/60 Hz) and is safety class I, so an earth conductor is required. It is intended for dry interiors only. Three beams aimed separately Each of the three holders tilts through 30°, independently of the others. From a single ceiling opening you can therefore send three separate cones of light to different places — onto a picture, a shelf and an armchair — instead of lighting the room evenly. The light leaves directly downwards, with no shade to diffuse it. Which lamps to buy for it The fitting takes three QPAR51 lamps with a GU10 base, each up to 50 W, so at most 150 W for the whole fitting — that is the figure to compare against the circuit load when several of them hang on one switch. Lamps are not included. The manufacturer recommends its own QPAR51 LEDs: ref. 1005077 at 2700 K, warm and slightly yellow, and ref. 1005080 at 3000 K, a somewhat cooler white.
