The Maytoni Ray P022PL-L20G3K is a pendant lamp shaped as a thin vertical cylinder just 3 cm across. The matt acrylic diffuser holds SMD LEDs inside, and the collars at both its ends and the canopy are aluminium in matt gold. The fitting hangs on a thin cable of adjustable length. How high it hangs The manufacturer gives a suspension range of 150 to 258 cm, measured from the ceiling to the bottom of the diffuser. The height is set by shortening the cable during installation, so compare that range with the height of your own room and with whether the lamp will hang over a worktop or in open space. The LEDs are sealed inside the diffuser and cannot be replaced; the manufacturer rates them for 30,000 hours. The lamp is not dimmable. Materials and where it fits Collars and canopy are aluminium, the diffuser is dense matt acrylic. The fitting is protection class I, so the circuit it goes on must carry an earth conductor. Since the LEDs are not replaced separately, the manufacturer's five-year warranty on the whole lamp is what matters. Ray is a series in which the same narrow form comes in black, white and matt gold, and which besides the pendants includes a floor and a table lamp.
