PRO EXTRA is a vertical aluminium tube just 3 cm across and 80 cm long, hung on a transparent cable below a small gold rose. The light leaves only through the bottom end of the tube, in a narrow 24° beam. A drop of up to 380 cm — that is the point of this lamp The manufacturer gives an installed height of up to 380 cm, from a 300 cm cable and the 80 cm tube itself. That is a great deal for a fitting this size, and it defines what it is for: spaces where the ceiling is a long way off — a stairwell, a mezzanine, a hall with a gallery, a tall living room, or a kitchen island under a three-metre ceiling. Suspension on a transparent cable with no visible connectors means that from any distance you see only the glowing line — the tube looks as though it hangs in mid-air. At a 380 cm drop that is an effect a fitting on a black cable cannot produce. A 24° beam — this is an accent, not room lighting 500 lm in a 24° beam makes a very concentrated pool. Hung 2 metres above a worktop it lights a circle roughly 85 cm across; from 3 metres, about 1.3 m. Outside that circle it lights practically nothing. What that is for: picking out one specific place — a seat at a bar, a section of worktop, a console in a hall, a picture on a stairway wall. The manufacturer describes the series outright as intended for accent lighting and for building layered lighting compositions, in which fittings like this supplement general light rather than replace it. A single unit will not light a room. These are bought several at a time — hung in a row, or at staggered heights over an island, a staircase or a counter, they make a rhythm that one alone cannot. Light quality and honest arithmetic Colour temperature 4000 K (neutral white) with a colour rendering index of CRI 90. High CRI has a concrete point here: since the fitting lights narrowly and onto one object, it is that object's colours which will be seen in this light. Efficacy is 500 lm from 6 W, about 83 lm/W, which corresponds to energy class G. That is not a build fault — a narrow 24° optic by definition discards the light that would fall outside the cone. Buying this fitting, you are paying for a concentrated beam, not for lumens per watt. If you need efficient general lighting, this is the wrong product. The LED module is permanently built in and not replaceable, and the fitting is not dimmable — the manufacturer states so plainly. Neither colour nor brightness can be changed after purchase.
