Zoom C029CL-01-S-B is a surface-mounted ceiling downlight shaped as a black cylinder 6.5 cm across and 10.5 cm tall. The body is powder-coated aluminium and the lampholder sits deep inside the tube, behind a reflector ring. The model belongs to the Zoom series. How much room it needs and how it goes up The cylinder takes up a circle of only 6.5 cm on the ceiling, but it projects 10.5 cm and is visible from every side — unlike a recessed fitting, which disappears into the ceiling. In exchange it needs neither void above the ceiling nor a cut-out. Fitting it means screwing a round plate straight to the ceiling and sliding the body onto it, so it also suits places with no space for a recessed housing: a concrete slab, or a ceiling with nothing suspended below it. Which lamp it takes There is one GU10 lampholder, for which the manufacturer states 10 W. Colour and brightness come with the lamp you buy, because the fitting sets neither — GU10 is sold both in warm 2700–3000 K and in neutral white. The lamp sits well back inside the tube, so the glowing part stays out of sight until you stand directly underneath. Over a basin or a worktop that limits glare. The manufacturer lists the fitting as non-dimmable. Where it may be mounted IP54 means protection against dust and against splashing water from any direction — on that basis the manufacturer names bathrooms and outdoor spaces. It is protection against splashes, not against water jets or immersion, so in a bathroom the fitting belongs outside the direct spray, over a basin for instance.
