The Mantra SAONA C0185 is a round recessed LED downlight 14.5 cm across, dropping into a Ø 130 mm cut-out. A flat acrylic diffuser fills the whole visible face, framed by a narrow aluminium ring in matt white. It delivers 990 lm from 12 W at a warm 3000 K. Diffuse light, not a spot This is not a spotlight. The diffuser covers the entire face, so SAONA lights broadly and softly — no hard aperture, no defined cone on the floor. That character suits places needing even general light: a hallway, an entrance, a kitchen, an office, a shop floor. For accenting a picture or a worktop, a directional fitting with a narrow beam is the better choice. 3000 K is warm white — neutral for living spaces and easy in the evening. Colour rendering is CRI 80, the usual level for general-purpose fittings. The luminaire is not dimmable; connecting it to a dimmer risks flicker or damage to the driver. A 1.9 cm build depth is the number that matters here The whole fitting is just 1.9 cm deep. A typical downlight needs 6–10 cm of clearance above the ceiling; this one needs under two centimetres, which opens up shallow suspended ceilings, bulkheads above kitchen units, and spots where services run just behind the board. The cut-out is 130 mm and the 145 mm ring covers its edge with 7.5 mm of margin all round — enough to hide an untidy hole-saw cut.
