s.luce Orb 3-light pendant, glass globes Ø20/30/40 cm, smoke gradient glass, black suspension

Name: s.luce Orb 3-light pendant, glass globes Ø20/30/40 cm, smoke gradient glass, black suspension
Brand: s.luce

This version of s.luce Orb is a pendant with three mouth-blown glass globes, 20, 30 and 40 cm in diameter. The Rauch Verlauf glass shades from clear at the top to smoked at the bottom of each globe, and the globes hang on black textile-covered cables from a round black ceiling canopy 40 cm across.Height and where to hang itEach globe hangs on its own cable of up to 500 cm, which is shortened during installation, so the height of every globe is set individually. The manufacturer calls it a Galerieleuchte, a fitting for tall spaces: stairwells, entrance halls and galleries open to the floor above. With shorter cables it also works in a living room, and the smaller globes do not overwhelm a lower room. The canopy is 40 cm in diameter and defines the mounting point on the ceiling. A plastic cap on top of each globe closes the glass and keeps dust out.Which bulbs to chooseThe pendant has three E27 lampholders, each for a bulb of up to 40 W; bulbs are not included. The globes are partly transparent, so the shape of the bulb stays visible in the upper part of the glass. It can be dimmed with a dimmer and bulbs marked as dimmable. It is protection class I, which means it must be connected to a protective earth conductor, and it is intended for indoor use.Glass and styleEvery globe is made by hand, so the smoked gradient and small features of the glass vary from piece to piece. The manufacturer describes the style as modern and minimalist: plain globes with no decoration, whose effect comes from their different sizes and hanging heights. The Orb series also comes in other glass colours, with a white suspension and in sets with more globes.Pokaż więcej
