Lucide EKLYPS LED Wall Lamp Black 15 cm Aluminum 46201/06/30

Name: Lucide EKLYPS LED Wall Lamp Black 15 cm Aluminum 46201/06/30
Brand: Lucide

EKLYPS LED is a wall light shaped as a flat round disc 15 cm across. The aluminium disc is painted matt black and a narrow gold-coloured band runs around its edge. The light source sits behind the disc, so what lights up is not the fitting itself but the wall around it. How much wall it takes up The disc is 15 cm in diameter and stands 3 cm off the wall — about the footprint of a side plate — so it stays out of the way even in a narrow hallway. The height cannot be adjusted: the fitting is screwed permanently to the chosen spot, and the manufacturer allows it on a ceiling just as readily as on a wall. Behind the disc sits a round plastic mounting plate 7.5 cm across and 2 cm deep, covering the cable outlet. The whole fitting weighs 0.3 kg, so it needs no special anchoring — an ordinary wall plug holds it, plasterboard included. The light it gives The built-in LED puts out 550 lm at 3000 K, a warm white close to the light of a traditional bulb. An old 60 W bulb gave around 800 lm, so EKLYPS LED is noticeably dimmer — it is not meant to light a room, only a chosen stretch of wall. Light escapes from behind the rim of the disc and settles on the wall as a soft halo, while the disc itself stays dark. The fitting cannot be dimmed — it has no dimming electronics of its own and the source cannot be swapped for a dimmable one — so it is switched with an ordinary wall switch. Light source and wiring The LED is integrated and cannot be replaced. The manufacturer rates it at 30,000 hours, which at three hours a day comes to more than twenty years; after that the whole fitting is replaced. No bulb has to be bought, because the source is already inside. The driver is included and housed inside the body, so a 230 V supply is all the connection needs. The fitting is protection class I and therefore requires an earth conductor — worth checking against an older installation before buying. The manufacturer intends it for dry interiors only: living room, bedroom and hallway.Pokaż więcej
