GFA1831 is a lighting module for the 48 V magnetic track: a flat bar carrying two cylindrical spots 35 mm across. The body is aluminium in satin black and the spot covers are clear polycarbonate. Which track it fits The fitting clips in magnetically and works only in Gea Luce 48 V tracks coded GBIN40–GBIN47, GBIN50 and GBIN51. It does not fit other systems, classic 230 V tracks included, and the manufacturer states that it cannot be seated in a track corner. The bar occupies 170 mm of track and stands 16.5 mm proud of it, so several modules fit within a metre of track. The track itself and its power supply are separate products — the module draws ready 48 V DC from the rail, which is what protection class III refers to here. What light it gives Two LED sources totalling 2 × 8 W deliver 1030 lm at 3000 K, that is warm white. It is the brightness of a former 75 W bulb split between two points, so the fitting lights two chosen places rather than a whole room. The beam is 30°, a narrow concentrated cone for a worktop, a shelf, a display or a picture. A colour rendering index above Ra 90 means colours look almost as they do in daylight — which matters wherever colours have to be right. The fitting is not dimmable and does not support dual switching; the LED is integrated, so the source is not user-replaceable, and the manufacturer rates it at 25,000 hours. How the spots are aimed Each spot turns 350° on its own axis and tilts from 0 to 90°, so the light can be sent along the track or across it, straight down or diagonally onto a wall. The spot bodies are 100 mm long each and the whole fitting measures 130 mm in height — that is how far it reaches below the track line with the spots fully lowered. GFA1831 is the satin black version; the same module also comes in satin white, matt gold, nickel, dark nickel and champagne, so the fitting can be matched to the colour of the track.
