GES830 is a round outdoor ceiling light 28 cm across: a matt white plastic body with an opal methacrylate diffuser, kept flat at 6.5 cm deep. The LED module is built in and comes with the fitting.Where it may be mountedAn IP66 rating means a dust-tight housing that also withstands powerful water jets, so the fitting needs no shelter — it can go over an open terrace, in a garden pavilion or under the soffit of an entrance where rain reaches it.The fitting is insulation class II, that is double-insulated: no earth conductor is needed for the connection, live and neutral are enough. Supply is 220–240 V, 50/60 Hz.How much light it givesThe LED module draws 18 W and delivers 1620 lm — roughly what two old 60 W bulbs gave, so this works as the main light over a terrace rather than as a top-up. The 120° beam spreads it wide and evenly, without a sharp cone.4000 K is neutral white, cooler than incandescent light, and makes colours easier to read after dark; the manufacturer states colour rendering above Ra 80. There is no dimming — the fitting works on-off. The source is integrated and not user-replaceable: the manufacturer quotes 25,000 h of life and a three-year warranty.Size and buildThe diffuser is 28 cm across and the body that sits against the ceiling 22.5 cm — figures to compare with the width of the soffit or recess the fitting is going into.
