GBIC41 is a connector for the Gea Luce low-voltage track, made of aluminium in a champagne finish. Its job is to join two lengths of track into one continuous line — mechanically and electrically — so that the joint stays invisible. A 48 V system, not 230 V This is the single most important thing to check before ordering: the connector belongs to a system running at 48 V and rated electrical class III, that is, safety extra-low voltage. Mains stops at the system power supply, and only 48 V travels along the track. The part therefore has no use in a 230 V installation — adapters, spotlights and connectors from single- or three-phase track are not compatible with it. Make sure the rest of the components come from the same system. Why the finish matters here A track mounted on the surface or run into the ceiling line is visible along its whole length, and the connector falls exactly where the eye catches on the break. The champagne tone — a warm, pale metallic — is chosen to match a track in the same colour, so the transition between sections stops registering. Aluminium is the natural material for the system: light, stiff, and expanding at the same rate as the track profile, so no stress builds at the joint. Operating conditions IP20 places the part in dry interiors — homes, offices, shops and hospitality. At 0.06 kg it adds nothing to the load, so the connector needs no support beyond the fixing of the track itself.
