FRUTTI is a small ceramic pendant — a cone-shaped shade 15 cm across and 20 cm tall in a pale pastel green, with a white collar at the top. The white 120 cm lead ends in a white ceiling rose. The fitting weighs 0.79 kg. How to hang it and how much room it takes At 15 cm across the shade is clearly smaller than a usual over-table light, which is why it works well in groups — over a worktop, over a kitchen island or in a row above a longer table. Above a table the lower edge is usually set 70–80 cm over the top, so the light covers the surface without shining into the eyes of the people sitting there. The lead is 120 cm and is shortened to the drop you need during installation. At 0.79 kg the fitting needs no special anchoring — an ordinary ceiling hook or plug is enough. The bulb and the kind of light The fitting takes one E27 lampholder on 230 V, and the manufacturer states a maximum of 15 W. That is the limit for the bulb, not the consumption of the lamp itself. No bulb is supplied, so you choose brightness and colour yourself — over a dining table 2700–3000 K is the usual pick, a warm, slightly yellow light. The ceramic shade is opaque and open only at the bottom, so the light falls in a narrow cone onto the surface below instead of spreading through the room. For the same reason the bulb is visible from underneath — with a low drop the shape of the bulb matters. The manufacturer notes that the lamp can be dimmed, but that needs a bulb marked as dimmable and a dimmer in the circuit. Build and where it fits The shade is ceramic with a smooth, glossy surface; the collar, the lead and the rose are white. Ceramic is heavier and stiffer than sheet metal, and also brittle — in transport and during installation hold the shade by its body rather than by the rim. Green ceramic and the plain cone shape suit modern interiors.
