BRILLANTE 2022 is a six-arm chandelier on a chain, finished throughout in black chrome — a dark metal with a mirror shine. The arms sweep outward and end in clear glass globes; the turned stem is set with flattened spheres of the same metal. How much room it needs below the ceiling The arm span is 85 cm and the whole fitting, chain and canopy included, is 105 cm tall. Under a 260 cm ceiling the bottom of the glass sits about 155 cm above the floor — a height at which a chandelier can only hang above a piece of furniture, over a table for instance, and not where people walk beneath it. The arms sit at two levels, alternately higher and lower, so the globes do not form a single flat ring and the body reads as three-dimensional. The fitting weighs 3.38 kg. What bulbs you have to buy The chandelier has six G9 lampholders for 230 V. No bulbs are supplied, and the maker states 14 W per holder — that is the ceiling for the lamp, not the draw of the fitting. Six lamps therefore have to be added to the purchase. The globes are colourless clear glass and each is roughly a third of the arm's length, so the bulb is fully visible from every side. A decorative G9 candle lamp or one with a visible filament changes the look of the lit chandelier far more than it would behind opal glass, and light from six uncovered points spreads sideways as well as down. Material and where it can hang The frame is steel and the shades are glass. IP20 and the maker's stated indoor use mean dry rooms: a bathroom or an outdoor position are out.
