BISCUIT is a Polish pendant from Thoro: a 131 cm aluminium bar in a saturated burgundy, hung under a black canopy on a transparent cord. Total suspension height reaches 200 cm. CRI 98 — that is not a typo The most remarkable figure on this lamp is its colour rendering index: 98 out of 100. For comparison, a typical decorative fitting manages 80, a good one 90, and values above 95 are found in museum lighting and photographic studios. In practice it means colours under this lamp look the way they do in daylight — wood, fabric, food and skin tones are not distorted. Over a dining table that is a difference you notice at the first meal. 3178 lumens at 16 W The LED module draws 16 W and returns 3178 lm, close to 200 lm/W — an exceptional figure for a decorative fitting and all the more surprising alongside CRI 98, since high colour rendering usually costs a good deal of efficacy. The 4000 K colour is neutral and the energy efficiency class is F. The source is permanently integrated and cannot be replaced. Control to order Thoro also offers this fitting in controlled versions: with a remote, from an app, in DALI or Push DIMM. The unit in its base configuration does not dim — if control is needed it has to be ordered with the lamp, because it cannot be added afterwards.
