HOYO Luces Exclusivas LE41399 LED pendant light, gold, 64 cm
The HOYO LE41399 is a pendant light built from three flattened oval hoops of brushed aluminium in gold, turned against one another and overlapping. A white acrylic diffuser runs along the inner edge of each hoop. The whole thing hangs on two steel cables from a rectangular ceiling plate in the same gold finish. How much room it takes and what to hang it over The body is 64 cm wide and 44 cm deep, and it hangs up to 120 cm below the ceiling — the cables are shortened to the length you need during installation. Over a dining table the bottom edge usually goes 70–80 cm above the top; with a 75 cm table that works out around 145–155 cm off the floor, a figure to weigh against your ceiling height. The hoops splay outwards, so the fitting takes up 44 cm of depth rather than the few centimetres of a flat shade. Compare that with the width of your table top: over anything narrower than 80 cm the light will overhang the edges. How much light it gives The light comes from a built-in LED module of 50 W and 3500 lm — over four times an old 60 W bulb, which is enough for the fitting to be the main light source above a table. 3000 K is warm white, close to the light of a traditional bulb. The module is included and the fitting has no lampholder: you buy no bulbs for it, but you do not change the source years later either. The diodes sit behind matt acrylic strips on the inside of the hoops, so the light reaching the table is diffused, with no visible points. Build and interiors The hoops are aluminium finished in gold with a brushed texture, and the diffusers are acrylic. The fitting runs on 230 V and connects straight to a ceiling supply.
