Nora 2482WH is an outdoor wall light shaped as a flat square plate, 13 cm on a side and 5 cm deep. The body is a cast aluminium powder-coated white, and the narrow strip of clear safety glass is closed with a silicone gasket. The whole fitting weighs 0.85 kg. Which way it throws light Nora emits on two sides, diffused upward and downward — the manufacturer states ULOR 50%, so exactly half the flux goes above the fitting. On a wall that produces a symmetrical, soft band of light above and below it rather than a concentrated spot. Inside it two LED modules give a combined 1079 lm at 15 W. 3000 K is warm white, and Ra 80 is enough for lighting a wall, a facade or an entrance. The modules and the driver are replaceable, but by a professional only — there is no bulb here to unscrew yourself. Switchable power and dimming There is a power selector on the driver: the fitting runs at either 10.9 W or 15 W, and it leaves the factory set to 10.9 W. The 1079 lm quoted above applies to the 15 W setting, so straight out of the box Nora runs dimmer until the switch is moved. Dimming is phase control (TRIAC) and works with both trailing-edge (TE) and leading-edge (LE) dimmers; the dimmer itself is not supplied. Supply is 220–240 V. The manufacturer quotes an L80 life of over 102,000 h, meaning the modules keep at least 80% of their initial flux after that time. Mounting and durability The fitting is screwed on through two ø5 mm holes spaced 63 × 112 mm. The terminal block takes conductors up to 3x2.5 mm², and a loop-through lets a further circuit of up to 3x1.5 mm² pass through the body — several fittings can therefore be fed one after another from a single run. The cable needs a round sheath 7–10.5 mm in diameter. IP65 means full dust-tightness and resistance to water jets, IK09 describes impact resistance, and an operating range of −20 to +45 °C lets the fitting stay on the wall all year. Nora is protection class I, so a protective earth conductor has to be connected.Meer tonen
