Basel MD671BC is a NORLYS outdoor wall light with a rectangular body: a metal frame holds a satin safety-glass panel, and a crossbar with two side brackets runs over the middle. The finish is a copper-patina shade. The fitting has a built-in LED module and a microwave motion sensor. Size and mounting The luminaire is 21 cm wide, 31 cm tall and projects 13 cm from the wall, so it sits beside a standard front door without intruding into the opening. It weighs 2.9 kg. It fixes through two ø4.5 mm holes spaced 138 × 50 mm, worth marking on the facade before drilling. The terminals take conductors up to 3 × 2.5 mm² and allow a loop-through feed to the next luminaire with 3 × 1.5 mm²; the entry is sized for round cable 7-10.5 mm in diameter. The fitting is class I, so the circuit must include a protective earth conductor. Light output and the motion sensor The light source is included and is not user-replaceable: an integrated mains-driven LED module of 9.5 W and 1080 lm, which only a qualified person may change. 3000 K gives warm white light and CRI 80 is enough for a path and a terrace. Declared life exceeds 50 000 hours. The ULOR figure is 9%, so only that share of the light passes above the plane of the fitting, the rest reaching wall and ground. Switching is handled by the MC030S L microwave motion sensor with a dusk switch and a hold-on delay. Factory settings are full detection range, a 5-second hold time and the dusk threshold switched off; after installation all three are adjusted using the enclosed manual. Working outdoors IP54 means protection against dust and splashing water from any direction, so the luminaire can hang on an unsheltered wall. A silicone gasket seals it and the panel is safety glass. The manufacturer states an operating temperature range from -20°C to +45°C. Build and the Basel series The base is a powder-painted aluminium casting and the front is steel: stainless, hot-dip galvanised or powder-coated. The copper patina here is the colour of the powder coat, not a layer of bare copper. The Basel series offers the same body for E27 lamps, as a dimmable 5.2 W LED version and in 4000 K, so matching fittings can sit at different entrances.Meer tonen
