CAMARI is a downlight recessed into the ceiling, black and matt throughout. Once installed, only the 74 mm flange and a deep blackened reflector are visible; behind them sits an aluminium tube finishing in a heatsink with transverse fins. How much room is needed above the ceiling The body is 100 mm tall, so that much free space has to remain above the ceiling board — the first thing to check in a suspended ceiling with a shallow void. The 74 mm flange covers the edge of the opening. Two spring clips on the sides of the body hold the fitting: it is pushed into the hole and the springs pull the flange up against the ceiling from below, with no screws and no frame showing on the outside. What kind of light it gives The built-in LED module delivers 1079 lm — a third more than an old 60 W bulb — at 4000 K, a neutral white with no yellow cast. The beam is 36 degrees, so from a ceiling 2.5 m up the pool of light on a kitchen worktop 90 cm off the floor is about a metre across; that figure is what decides how far apart to set the next fittings. Colour rendering is above Ra 90 and the glare index UGR is under 19 — the reflector is deep and blackened, so the diode is not visible from the side. Together that means light under which the colours of goods and fabrics read truthfully, and a fitting that does not glare at someone working beneath it. Light source and installation The LED module is integrated — there is no cap and no socket here, so the source cannot be replaced; the maker rates it for 50,000 hours. It runs on 230 V. Housing and heatsink are aluminium, and the IP20 rating is for dry interiors only — this fitting cannot go over a shower or a bath. Luces Exclusivas covers it with a five-year guarantee.Meer tonen
