The base is 5.6 cm across and the body projects 10 cm, so it reads as an object rather than disappearing into the surface. The fitting weighs 0.15 kg and ships in a 6.5 × 6.5 × 11 cm carton. One tube is one light point, so a longer run — over a kitchen worktop, for instance — is built from several units. Which bulb you have to buy The socket takes a GU10 bulb rated up to 50 W, and none is supplied. Colour temperature, brightness and any dimming are therefore chosen with the bulb, not decided by the fitting. GU10 is a common two-pin bayonet base, so the source can be swapped later without changing the fitting. Setting the bulb back inside the tube limits the view of the lit element when looking from an angle.
