Otis is an Alora Mood ceiling light with a globe of shiny white opal glass held just below the ceiling on a short metal neck. The canopy has a decorative fluted edge, and the metal is finished in brushed gold.Size and where it fitsThe fitting is 24.8 cm high and the glass globe 20 cm across. At that height it suits places where a pendant would hang too low — a hallway, a bathroom or an alcove with a lower ceiling. It weighs just 0.82 kg.The IP44 rating means resistance to splashing water, which is why the manufacturer allows bathroom installation. It is a Class I fitting and needs an earth connection.LightInside the globe is one E27 socket for a bulb of up to 40 W — the bulb is not included. Opal glass is milky, so it spreads the light evenly over the whole globe and hides the bulb itself. The fitting is compatible with dimmable bulbs where the circuit has a dimmer.The fluted gold canopy and smooth, glossy globe give it a classic, slightly vintage character.
