COMODORO is a plaster wall light shaped as a round disc 15 cm across, set forward of a smaller base screwed to the wall. The disc is white and unornamented and the plaster stays matt — from the room you see the circle and a narrow gap between it and the wall. How much wall it takes The fitting describes a 15 cm circle and stands 7 cm off the plaster. It is the second figure worth comparing with the spot you have in mind: in a narrow passage or beside a door frame, 7 cm of projection decides whether you get past without brushing the fitting. Which bulb you need to buy The fitting has one G9 socket and the manufacturer gives 5 W as the maximum for the lamp. No bulb is supplied, so you choose the colour of the light yourself — in a living room or bedroom 2700–3000 K is the usual reach: warm light with a slightly yellow cast. Five watts in LED is the level of supplementary lighting. This fitting brightens a patch of wall and builds a second, weaker layer of light in the room; it will not stand in for the main light and it is not meant for reading. Plaster, and what follows from it The disc is solid plaster and therefore opaque: light does not pass through its face. Plaster takes wall paint, so the colour of the fitting can be matched to the wall instead of being left white. The material is also brittle and absorbent, which is why the fitting is rated IP20 and suits dry rooms only — not a bathroom by the shower and not outdoors. The supply is 230 V, and connecting it assumes a cable brought out at the mounting point.Meer tonen
