Proven identification system (“color series”) for the identification of Enterobacteriaceae (aerobic or facultatively anaerobic Gram-negative bacteria with negative oxidase test). Enteropluri performs 15 biochemical reactions (including indole, after incubation, see below). The pure culture colonies are inoculated with the integrated inoculation needle of the Enteropluri and very easily distributed among the reaction chambers by withdrawing the needle. The pure cultures can be taken from full and selective media. Blood agar, Caso agar, MacConkey agar, Endo agar, EMB agar, Hektoen agar, SS agar and VRB agar are suitable. After incubation for 20-24 hours, some Kovacs indole reagent is injected into the corresponding chamber.
