Lucide BJORN Ceiling Spotlight Black Smoked Glass Retro 1xE14 77979/01/30

Name: Lucide BJORN Ceiling Spotlight Black Smoked Glass Retro 1xE14 77979/01/30
Brand: Lucide

BJORN is a single-light ceiling spotlight on a round black ceiling plate, with a cylindrical smoked-glass shade. The metal body is finished in matt black and the shade is translucent, so the bulb shows through it once the light is on. The head turns a full 360° and tilts. Size and mounting The fitting stands 16.5 cm high and occupies 10 × 14 cm in plan; the ceiling plate is round, 10 cm across and 2.5 cm deep, which covers an ordinary junction box. The shade measures 9 cm in diameter at both top and bottom. Installation materials are included and the whole fitting weighs about 0.3 kg. It is protection class I, so the connection needs an earth conductor at the box. The rating is IP20 and the manufacturer intends it for dry interiors. Light source and dimming There is one E14 lampholder rated to 40 W, and no bulb is supplied — brightness and colour of light are yours to choose. Lucide recommends its own P45 filament LED, E14, 4 W, 2700 K (code 49022/04/60): warm light with the yellowish cast of an old incandescent lamp. The manufacturer states that both the fitting and the recommended lamp are dimmable, but control is by an ordinary light switch — actually dimming it means adding a dimmer and a dimmable lamp. No dimmer is included. How it aims the light The head rotates 360° and tilts, so the pool of light is set after mounting — onto a wall, onto a picture, or straight down, without moving the ceiling plate. The shade is open at the front and translucent at the sides, so the fitting lights the direction you choose while spilling some light around it. BJORN also comes in two-, three- and four-light versions and in a matt gold finish, which makes it possible to combine several fittings in one room.Meer tonen
