Lucide BENTOO-LED – a surface-mounted GU10 cylinder, 8 cm across BENTOO-LED is for the situations where the ceiling cannot be cut into. Instead of a recessed downlight you get a cylinder 8 cm across and 11 cm tall, screwed onto the finished surface on a round mounting plate 8 cm across and 2 cm deep. Installation comes down to bringing a cable to the point and fixing the base — no void above the ceiling and no hole saw required. Light aimed downward, 40° beam The manufacturer classes the fitting as a downlight with a fixed direction — the head does not tilt. A 40° beam angle sits in between: wider than a typical accent spot, narrower than a general-purpose fitting. In practice that means a legible pool of light on a worktop, a shelf or the floor, without a hard cut-off at the edge. The lamp is set back inside the tube, so the LED itself is not visible at eye level. 5 W, 320 lm, warm white 3000 K A GU10 (MR16) LED lamp is included, rated 5 W and 320 lm, in warm white 3000 K. The colour is fixed — the fitting has no CCT switch. Colour rendering is CRI 80, the stated lamp life is 25,000 hours and the energy label is G. Because the cap is a standard one, the source can be replaced later: Lucide recommends its own MR16 lamp, article 49006/05/31, for this fitting. Dimming The supplied lamp is dimmable and the fitting is prepared to work with a dimmer. The dimmer is not part of the set, though — it has to be chosen separately and wired into the circuit, since the fitting is operated by an ordinary light switch, with no built-in control. Aluminium in matt white Body and mounting plate are aluminium, finished in matt white by powder coating. The matt finish keeps reflections down and lets the tube read as part of the ceiling rather than as a separate object. The inside of the shade is white as well, so a lit fitting does not form a dark ring around the source. The fitting weighs 0.4 kg. Installation and safety The fitting runs straight off 230 V mains and is protection class I — it requires an earth conductor, so installation belongs to a qualified electrician. IP20 places it in dry rooms; for a bathroom or a terrace Lucide has separate models with a higher rating. Installation materials are included. The manufacturer gives a 2-year warranty on the fixture. Where BENTOO-LED works Over a kitchen worktop or island, in a hallway, above a work zone in a home office, as accent light for a bookcase or a picture in the living room. At 8 cm across the fitting is small enough that several in a row do not weigh the ceiling down — the usual use for this shape. It comes into its own in flats with a concrete slab or a ceiling with no service void, where a recessed fitting is simply not an option.
