Rendl DANDY R trimless plaster recessed downlight GU10 max 8 W 230 V

Name: Rendl DANDY R trimless plaster recessed downlight GU10 max 8 W 230 V
Brand: Rendl light studio

DANDY R is a trimless recessed downlight cast in plaster, intended for plasterboard ceilings. Once built in, all that shows is the round 6 cm aperture — the rest of the body disappears into the ceiling. The manufacturer lists the article as R12362.Cut-out and space above the ceilingThe plaster body goes into a 10 cm hole, larger than the 6 cm that stays visible when the work is done. That is how trimless fittings are installed: the body is set into the board and filled flush with its surface, and the mesh wings on either side of it give the filler something to grip. The manufacturer states a recess depth of 15 cm — that much clear space has to remain above the board, including room for the lamp and the cable. It is the first measurement to check in your own ceiling, because under a slab or a layer of insulation there is often less. The fitting is intended for plasterboard ceilings only.Light source and dimmingThe fitting takes a GU10 lamp and runs straight off 230 V, so no transformer has to be bought. The manufacturer allows LED lamps up to 8 W — that is the ceiling for the lamp, not the consumption of the fitting itself. No lamp is included, so colour temperature and brightness are yours to choose. It can be dimmed provided the lamp is marked dimmable and the dimmer matches it. The manufacturer publishes neither luminous flux nor beam angle, because both depend on the lamp you fit.Finish and where such a fitting worksThe body is cast plaster and weighs 330 g. Raw plaster is white and gets painted along with the ceiling, so the fitting takes on its colour and is not set off from it by any frame or ring. The manufacturer files DANDY R under living room, bedroom, hallway and staircase lighting — wherever the light points are meant to vanish into the ceiling. At 6 cm across, one point covers a small part of a room; compare that with the number of fittings your ceiling layout calls for.Meer tonen
