This ZAMBELIS ceiling spot is a plain tube 5.4 cm across and 25 cm long, made of aluminium with a brushed brass finish. It takes a single GU10 lamp seated deep inside the tube. How it is mounted The spot is surface-mounted: the manufacturer specifies neither a cutting hole nor any depth above the ceiling, so it also goes onto a concrete slab or a sloping attic ceiling where there is no room to recess a fitting. The tube stands 25 cm clear of the ceiling — a figure worth setting against the room height and against how low the beam should land. It is a safety class II fitting, so no earth conductor has to reach the connection point. It ships as a 7 × 7 × 28 cm carton weighing 0.7 kg gross. An IP20 rating settles the question of where it may go: indoors only. Which lamp to buy The fitting takes one GU10 lamp of up to 7 W, and no lamp is included, so the colour and brightness are yours to choose. A 7 W ceiling points straight at LED: GU10 halogens start at 20 W and will not fit under that limit. The lampholder sits deep inside the 25 cm tube, so the lamp is not visible from the side and the light leaves only through the bottom, as a narrow beam onto the surface below. There is no control gear inside the spot, so dimming depends on a lamp described as dimmable and a separate dimmer. Finish and interiors The body is aluminium and the brass is a finish colour, not the material — the fitting weighs what a light aluminium tube weighs, and the fixing should be chosen on that basis.
