TORE is a surface-mounted ceiling tube with a 7 × 7 cm section and 10.5 cm height, finished in brushed gold. A GU10 lamp sits inside, recessed deep into the body – from below you see the reflector, not the source itself. Brushed gold, not polished The difference is visible and practical. Polished gold behaves like a mirror: it reflects every other light in the room and shows fingerprints during installation. Brushing leaves fine parallel lines on the metal that scatter the reflection – the colour stays warm and distinctly gold, but the surface does not throw point highlights. On a ceiling fitting seen from below at varying angles, that decides whether the tube is an accent or a source of irritating glints. Small format, specific use Seven centimetres across is genuinely small – TORE is not a fitting meant to dominate a ceiling. A tube like this works in a rhythm: three or four in a line over a kitchen worktop, along a corridor or above a run of cabinets. A single one suits an entrance, a wardrobe or a small bathroom outside the protection zones. At 0.32 kg the fixing needs nothing beyond a standard back box. You choose the lamp The holder is GU10 with a 35 W limit, and no lamp is supplied. Thirty-five watts is a threshold from the halogen era; a modern 5–10 W GU10 LED delivers 400–900 lumens, so the headroom is considerable. The choice is yours and covers three things: colour (2700 K brings out the gold of the body, 4000 K stays neutral over a worktop), beam angle (24° for accent, 60° for general light) and whether the lamp should be dimmable. Construction and installation The body is aluminium and metal. On a GU10 fitting the aluminium acts as a heatsink – it draws heat away from the lamp, which directly affects how long that lamp lasts, particularly with the higher-power LEDs. Mounting is on the surface over a standard back box, supply 230 V; no cut-out is needed and no void above the ceiling. IP20 confines it to dry interiors.
