Borg 5142AL is a post-top luminaire — a round disc 51.2 cm across in powder-coated cast aluminium, silver. A satin PMMA cover closes the whole underside and a silicone gasket seals the inside. The disc is about 7.5 cm thick; with its mounting spigot the fitting measures 15.5 cm. What is supplied and what has to be bought separately This is a head, not a complete lantern. It drops onto a lighting pole with a Ø60 mm spigot and slides 95 mm down it — the pole is not part of the delivery. The manufacturer lists the 3070 reducer and the 154 mounting adapter separately, for when an existing pole is not Ø60 mm. A 6 m H05RN-F 6G1 cable leaves the luminaire and is terminated in a suitably chosen junction box. Those 6 m normally reach down inside the pole to the connection recess at its base. How much light it gives and where it goes The luminaire puts out 3976 lm for 32 W drawn, which is 124.3 lm/W. 4000 K is neutral white — cooler than domestic light and easy to read by on a driveway or footpath; colour rendering is Ra 80. The light is directed downwards and the upward light output ratio is 0 %: nothing passes above the disc, so the fitting lights neither the sky nor the windows above it. Norlys computed the distribution for a 4 m mounting height, and that is the starting point for spacing a run. Operating conditions and control IP65 allows mounting with no shelter, and IK08 impact resistance matters within reach along a footpath. The working range is -20 to +45 °C. The luminaire is Class I, so it needs a protective earth conductor connected. The driver is built in and works on DALI2 with NightDim, reducing output during the night hours. Norlys gives 100,000 h of driver life and L90 above 54,000 h for the LED module, both replaceable by the manufacturer's service only — not parts changed up the pole. How many luminaires on one circuit Inrush current is 26 A for 180 µs, so the circuit breaker rather than total wattage limits how many fit on one circuit: Norlys quotes 18 luminaires on a B 10 A breaker and 28 on a B 16 A.Meer tonen
