CAMELEON CYLINDER L is a narrow glass tube shade closed at the top by a black painted-steel collar. The glass is clear, so the light source and the cable inside both stay visible. The shade belongs to the Nowodvorski CAMELEON system. What is in the box and what you still need The box holds the shade and the assembly instructions — no suspension and no bulb. The manufacturer pairs it with one CAMELEON CABLE, the pendant suspension the shade slides onto, bought separately. The socket on that suspension is GU10 and the manufacturer allows LED sources only, up to 10 W. GU10 halogen capsules of the same size are therefore ruled out. How big the shade is The tube is 35 cm tall and 6.5 cm across, so it takes almost no horizontal room but drops a long way. Over a table, count those 35 cm together with the cable length so the lower rim lands 70–80 cm above the tabletop. The shade alone weighs 0.49 kg. The same CYLINDER shape also comes 15 cm and 25 cm tall, which lets several hang at different levels. Material and the light it gives The body is glass and the top collar is painted steel. Clear glass does not diffuse: the light leaves through the open bottom rim and the bulb itself stays on show, so its shape and colour matter here.
