TEKKNI+ S14+ is a flat cover in clear PMMA for the aluminium LED profiles of the TEKKNI+ series. One piece is 2.02 m long; its folded edges snap into the grooves of the profile and close the channel that holds the LED strip. How much light it lets through Light transmittance is 93%, measured in the Lumines photometry laboratory with a tolerance of ±5%. The cover therefore takes roughly 7% off the strip's output, so there is no need to size the strip with a power reserve for the diffuser. Clear acrylic does not scatter the light enough to hide the individual diodes, so the lit line still reads as a row of points. This cover belongs where light output matters and the profile itself sits out of direct view: under wall cabinets, in worktop lighting, in a ceiling recess. For an even line, the same series includes a frosted version (69%) and a milky one (45%). Which profiles it fits The S14+ cross-section is matched to the TEKKNI+ ORRE+, SELDE+, BARDE+, HELSE+ and SKAGEN+ profiles — the smaller surface-mounted and recessed profiles used in furniture and decorative lighting. Profiles in this series are made in 1 m, 2.02 m and 3 m, so this piece covers a 2.02 m profile over its whole length, with nothing to cut and no joint between two covers. The cover is sold on its own: no profile, no LED strip and no end caps are included. Material and build The material is PMMA, that is acrylic — a rigid, fully transparent plastic. A closed profile keeps dust off the strip and stops the diodes being touched by accident, which counts wherever the light sits within reach: inside a wardrobe, in a drawer or under a worktop. Because the cover is clear, the strip stays visible with the light switched off, and the look of the unlit line comes from the finish of the profile itself.Show more
