WoodMan Allegro Solid Wood Sofa Bed Graphite Beech with Mattress and Pillows WUA-00377

Name: WoodMan Allegro Solid Wood Sofa Bed Graphite Beech with Mattress and Pillows WUA-00377
Brand: WoodMan

ALLEGRO is a folding futon daybed on a solid beech frame finished with linseed oil and wax. The crossed legs and the plain frame stay visible from every side, and on them sits a quilted graphite mattress with two loose 50 × 60 cm cushions. How much room it takes and how it opens Folded, the sofa is 170 cm long; opened it extends to 203 cm — so it grows along the wall rather than into the room. The depth stays at 83 cm and the back reaches 80 cm above the floor. When planning the spot, add roughly 80 cm of clear passage beside the 83 cm depth. The legs lift the frame 24 cm off the floor, so there is a gap underneath worth comparing with your own vacuum head, and the floor stays visible beneath the piece. The sofa weighs 40 kg, a figure to check before carrying it up stairs. How you sit and sleep on it The seat is 43 cm high and 60 cm deep. That is a seat for sitting with your legs drawn up or with a cushion behind your back, not for sitting upright at a table — and the two cushions in the set are what supports the back. Opened, it gives a sleeping surface of 80 × 200 cm at a height of 43 cm, which is the width of a single bed. The mattress is 13 cm thick and comes with the piece, so it is ready to sleep on straight away. The manufacturer states a permissible load of 250 kg for the structure, without dividing it between places. Materials and care The frame is solid beech coated with linseed oil and wax — an oiled finish leaves the grain visible, unlike an opaque lacquer. The mattress and the cushions are sewn from polyester fabric and filled with polyester fibre, a springy filling that needs patting back into shape after use. The covers must not go in a washing machine, so stains mean spot cleaning or dry cleaning. That is worth settling before the sofa goes where children eat or a dog sleeps. Assembly and delivery The sofa arrives in two packages: a carton holding the frame, 143 × 82 × 14 cm and 26 kg, and the soft part in a polythene bag and a fleece cover, 90 × 80 × 50 cm and 16.9 kg. Both have to be carried in separately, and the manufacturer expects two people to assemble it. The set includes the assembly hardware, the instructions and an assembly tool. From your own tools the manufacturer names a hammer, pliers or a 10 mm spanner and flat and cross-head screwdrivers, and additionally recommends a cordless driver with an S4 or S5 bit.Show more
