LILLESAND Wood 2339 is an 85 cm garden bollard light built from a wooden shaft and cast aluminium parts. A satined PMMA diffuser closes the top, letting the light out all the way round. The castings — cap, collar and base — are powder-coated in the aluminium shade RAL 9006. How much light it gives, and in what colour The built-in LED module draws 9.2 W and delivers 956 lm at 4000 K. That is brighter than a former 60 W bulb, and 4000 K is neutral white — cooler than the warm white used indoors, but true to the colours of paving and planting beside a path. The diffuser emits in every direction, so the bollard lights its surroundings evenly rather than one chosen side. The fitting is dimmable, which calls for a dimmer on the installation side. No bulb needs buying — the source is part of the fitting, and the manufacturer rates it at 72,000 hours. What it is made of The shaft is impregnated Scandinavian pine, the load-bearing parts are powder-coated aluminium castings, the diffuser is satined PMMA and the joint is sealed with silicone. The manufacturer gives the casting itself a 25-year anti-corrosion warranty and the whole fitting five years — the first figure is the one that says how long the aluminium is meant to last standing in soil and rain. Mounting and wiring The fitting is fixed through three ø9 mm holes set 120° apart on a ø65 mm circle. Ground anchors, adapters and the rest of the hardware are separate articles and are chosen to suit the ground. Supply is 230 V, so the bollard is wired in permanently rather than plugged in. The terminals take conductors up to 2 x 4 mm² and the fitting can be looped through — one cable run therefore serves a line of several bollards along a drive without a separate feed to each. The gland suits round-sheathed cable 8-12.5 mm in diameter.Show more
