The GFA1131C is a linear recessed spotlight with ten light points in a single row. The body is aluminium in a satin white finish, and the LEDs sit behind a glossy black anti-glare cover. The white frame is perforated for plastering into the ceiling, so once installed it is mainly the dark strip of LEDs that stays visible. How much light it gives and where it goes The ten LEDs produce 1600 lm in total while drawing 20 W. For comparison, an old 60 W incandescent bulb gave around 800 lm, so a single fitting is enough to light a defined part of a room rather than only accent a detail. 3000 K is warm white, and the 30° beam sends a narrow cone straight down — the light lands on a defined strip of floor or worktop instead of spreading across the whole room. The black cover sets the LEDs deep into the housing, so looking at the ceiling from an angle you do not see the lit points. Colour rendering is above Ra 80: colours look natural in everyday use, and where a shade has to match exactly, sources from Ra 90 upwards are the ones to pick. What to plan for during installation The fitting is 276 mm long and sits 49 mm into the ceiling — that much clear space has to remain above the board. It is held in the opening by spring clips and weighs 0.62 kg. The transformer is supplied but is not built into the fitting: it is a separate part that needs a place above the ceiling and service access left to it. Supply is 220–240 V AC, and the fitting works in protection class II, so no earth conductor connection is required. Light source and control The LED module is integrated and cannot be replaced — the manufacturer states a 50,000 hour life, after which the whole fitting is changed.
