Basic colors MOD167PL-01W is a pendant with a cone-shaped metal shade 35 cm across, in white. How big it is and how high it hangs The cone is 35 cm across and 15.5 cm high. Over a table 80–90 cm wide a shade of this size keeps its proportion; over a longer table two or three are usually hung in a row. The manufacturer gives an overall height between 38 and 318 cm: the cable is 300 cm long and is shortened during installation, so the fitting works tight under the ceiling and low over a table alike. Over a table the bottom edge of the shade usually sits 70–80 cm above the top. The rose, 10 cm across and 2.5 cm high, covers a standard installation box, and the whole fitting weighs 0.94 kg. Three ways to mount it, all in the box The manufacturer supplies the hardware to hang the same lamp three ways. The first is a plain drop straight from the rose, over the cable outlet. The second uses an additional hook: the cable runs sideways from the rose, so the lamp hangs where it is wanted without running new wiring in the ceiling. The third is wall mounting — the box holds an arm with a 20 cm projection and a round 10 cm wall plate, which turns the pendant into a wall light, over a bed for instance. One instruction sheet covers all three, and they use the same parts. Light source and supply The fitting has one E27 socket for a lamp of up to 40 W and runs on 230 V mains. The manufacturer states it is not dimmable, so brightness depends entirely on the lamp you choose. The shade is metal and opaque, so all the light goes downward, in a cone below the fitting.
